This is a new project I’m working on about the events that took place 10 years before the film, “A Nightmare On Elm St”. I’m developing a story studying the double life of Fred Krueger and the Detective who catches him. To most of the town Fred Krueger is a Vietnam Veteran, school janitor and family man, but he has another secret life as “The Springwood Slasher”, kidnapping and killing young girls. As parents mourn, the whole town is in panic and looking to the Police for answers. Detective Donald Thompson struggles to put the clues together that could lead him to the killer and bring safety back to the community, especially for his young daughter Nancy. Little does he know the killer is among them.
